1.Recommendations Gourmet in Ame-mura
First, here are some of the best eats you should try when you come to Ame-mura!
1-1.Kogaryu Takoyaki
First, let’s talk about takoyaki in Ame-mura! We went to Kogaryu Honten! It is a very famous restaurant that has been listed in that Michelin Guide. This time, I ordered the royal sauce mayo.
Koga-style takoyaki is fluffy and very tasty! The soft and fluffy dough has a mild broth that makes you feel warm and cozy. The sauce wasn’t too thick, so it went perfectly with the dough! If you’re going to eat takoyaki in Ame-mura, this is definitely the place to go!

2.Recommended vintage clothing stores in Ame-mura
Ame-mura is a place to visit vintage clothing stores. Ame-mura is a battleground of vintage clothing stores for those in the know.
Among the countless numbers of secondhand clothing stores, I’d like to introduce three popular clothing stores that I highly recommend.
2-1.Pigsty, for American casual vintage clothing
If you want to buy American casual vintage clothing, Pigsty is the place to go!
They have vintage vintage clothing from the 30’s to the 80’s, so no matter what decade you are from, you can find something you like.
Although we went there in the fall, they have a large selection of T-shirts for the summer. This Ame-mura store has a particularly large selection of T-shirts, with over 1,000 items. They also have a variety of vintage items, from women’s vintage clothing to antique goods, so be sure to stop by when you’re in Ame-mura!

JAM, a vintage clothing store that I often visit.
The reason I love it so much is that they have everything from casual items to slightly more mature items!
I especially like their wide variety of hoodies and knits. I come here more often in the fall and winter than in the summer. They also have a great selection of sundries and shoes, so it’s my favorite used clothing store to visit any time of the year!
The store is one of the largest in Japan in terms of inventory, and is packed with a variety of items. You are sure to find your favorite!

You can see all kinds of cute and casual items in the store as well.
And they are really cheap. And not just in the front of the store, the items in the store are so petite, you could buy a whole bunch of stuff!
You can get unique clothes that you cannot find anywhere else at low prices. If you are in Ame-mura, this is a recommended secondhand clothing store to stop by!
