1. Skate parks offering lessons
You want to start skateboarding, but you don’t know where to practice or who to ask to teach you…
First, we will introduce skate parks where lessons and schools are available.
① Spotaka Skateboard Park (Spopa)

Located on the second basement floor of Shinsaibashi BIGSTEP, this is the only all-weather urban skate park in Japan.
This park, the brainchild of skateboarders sponsored by SPOTAKA, is equipped with the best facilities.

The attached sports board store has one of the largest selections in Japan.
It is a great place for skateboard lovers as it offers skateboards, shoes, accessories, and apparel from numerous domestic and international brands.

This facility also offers a school for children and adult beginners.
The school is by appointment only and will close as soon as it reaches capacity.

The second Murasaki Park store operated by Murasaki Sports opened in March 2018 at the Kishiwada CanCan Bayside Mall!
Designed and supervised by the Tokyo Olympic skateboarding director, this is an outdoor concrete park that can be enjoyed by beginners and advanced skaters alike. Four types of lessons are also available for children and adults, from beginner to advanced. For more information, please click below.

In the store attached to the building, a wide range of skateboards, accessories, and apparel are on display, and you can select products with the advice of professional staff. This is an indoor skate park operated by Enerage Ltd., a skate store in Neyagawa City.
As a long-awaited indoor skate park in the Neyagawa area, it can be enjoyed even on rainy days.

④ SNOWLINE BOARD PARK

This skate park is an all-weather indoor park operated by the snowboard store SNOW LINE.
The section environment (slopes and obstacles to ski) is quite extensive, and there is even a loose mini-ramp (one of the sections) suitable for beginners.

⑤Minimini Skate Park

Located 10 minutes from Kansai International Airport, this all-weather park is divided into five zones. There is a wide range of sections, from mini-mini size sections for beginners to competition-specific sections! Since it is all wood, it is less impactful and safer than concrete.

At this school, you can take lessons in three different classifications, but they are taught according to your personal goals and objectives.
The private school also offers one-on-one instruction by a professional instructor representing Park Style Japan!

⑥ NQS-iS OLLiES

This skate park is located in a warehouse next to the skateboarding and snowboarding related apparel store is OLLiES.
There are no large sections, and since all the sections are made of wood, they are less impactful than concrete, so women and children can enjoy them safely. Another attraction is that you can easily discuss tools at the store.

Schools are held regularly every week, and this school uses the “individual one-point lesson method”. They are taught in the best practical method that suits each school student.

⑦ PSJ Skateboard Academy

This park is a facility where you can take lessons by class, from beginners to experts, with a curriculum supervised by Mr. Yugame Yamazaki, a professional certified by the Japan Skateboarding Association. There are indoor and outdoor parks, and what’s more, some of the outdoor parks are open to the public for free! Because it is on the Academy’s grounds, you can enjoy it safely.

The indoor park is for school students only, but it’s air-conditioned!

⑧ Sports Park Matsubara Skate Park

This skate park is located in Sports Park Matsubara, which is managed by the Mizuno Group, a designated manager.
There are 8 sections, but there are also many flat spaces, so beginners and up can have fun.
You can also take lessons from the “PSJ Skateboard Academy” introduced earlier.

⑨ Haraike Skateboard Park in Sakai City

This park is one of the largest concrete skateboard parks in western Japan. The park is divided into five areas, with quite a variety of sections that can be enjoyed by beginners and advanced skiers alike. It is quite a famous spot for skaters, as competitions are often held there.

⑩ Fukahoku Ryokuchi Park: Wave Plaza

This is a skating spot located in Fukahoku Ryokuchi Park in Daito City.
This park is not dedicated to skateboarding, so there are not many sections, but it is a spacious site where you can skate freely.
On weekends, many families come to play, ranging from striders for small children to skateboards and roller skates for adults.

⑪ Eiraku Dream Forest Park Skateboard Plaza

This is a skating spot in Eiraku Yume no Mori Park, located in Kumatori Town in southern Osaka.
The Nagaraku Dream Forest Park is about four times the size of the Koshien Stadium, and the plaza here has a large flat space and sections for beginners to intermediate skateboarders, making it a family-oriented skateboarding plaza that is safe even for small children.
