【Restaurants at Itami Airport 】Famous restaurants • popular restaurants in Osaka. You can enjoy Osaka’s original foods at the airport.

A terminal building at Osaka International Airport has been renovated in the spring of 2018. It has changed a lot at shopping area in center area and there are many restaurants you can enjoy before your flight or after your flight.
There are big hamburger restaurant,fancy famous cafe in Kitahama,cafe in hotel chains,restaurant you can eat fresh Tuna. Which are places you would like to eat.
Also departure areas in south and north will be renovated to shopping areas for walk through type in the summer of 2020.This time I would like to show you restaurants in center area renovated.
So I’ll introduce you 1F floor in order.

1st floor

1-1.You can enjoy beer and snacks. Also you can enjoy it as a cafe

Bar Cafe Massa
This Spain Bar Massa is also in Namba. You can also use it a cafe and can order Barset(
1.000yen)includes 1 drink, 3 kinds of pasta at the day, which you can eat quickly before your flight.

1-2.When you feel like eating nice and flesh pizza from the oven

WOLF GANG PUCK PIZZA
This restaurant is originated in Kansai and produced by Wolfgang Puck who is head chef of Academy Awards Offical Party. The menu has Pizza, salad, sandwiches and desserts and so on. You can also take them home to go.

1-3.Original food in Osaka, Takoyaki

Takoya Dotombori Kukuru
This Takoyaki restaurant is famous at Osaka Dotombori in the South Terminal. Before your flight, it’s perfect size for snack. They have original fluffy Takoyaki and Akashiyaki with soup for dip.

2nd floor

2-1.Would you like Oroginal Osaka food Steam pork bums?

551 Horai(Take-out only)
Original Osaka food, Stemmed pork bums 551Horai. They are homemade at the store and you can see they steamed in a bamboo steamer through the glass.(They sell only chilled foods by 9:00am)

2-2.You can relax with good coffee at main cafe at Sennichimae in Osaka

Marufuku Coffee
You can have full-bodies coffee at Marufuku Coffee at the main cafe at Sennichi-mae in Osaka. They have terrace tables so that you don’t have to worry if you have big luggage. Also at counter seats you can charge your phone and use USB so it’s helpful for just one person.

2-3.Family can enjoy Japanese style meal at the restaurant

Ganko
Ganko has been established at Juu-sou in Osaka. Today they are famous all over the country in Japan. You can order Sushi,Tempura,Udon and Soba and so on which is Ganko’s slogan “Good food・reasonable price”.

2-4.Great quality cafe like a hotel

Lu・Pan Kobe
This cafe is directly managed from La・Sweet Kobe Harborland at Kitano Hotel. I recommend Beef Stew, Sandwich, breads and sweets with great seasonal ingredients and afternoon tea with hotel quality. You can enjoy luxury ambiance.

2-5.Great taste meats ! Hamburg Stake is popular too

Popular menu is HOTDOG,STEAK,PANCAKE. NICK STOCK is a cafe whre it is very popular all over the country in Japan. Popular menu, “Very thick hotdog” is available to take out and “Aged Beef Hamburg Stake”has been popular since it has been established and has great rich taste.

They have set meal with Broiled fish, Fried prawns Hamburg Stake and also you can enjoy well-balanced meal too.

2-7.Udonsuki is famous at this restaurant and this place where you can relax and enjoy your meal

This restaurant is the origin of Udon-suki and the main restaurant has been established at Semba in Osaka. It has a relaxed ambiance and you can enjoy a leisurely meal.

3rd floor

1-1.This trendy cafe is convenient before your flight or meeting

DEAN&DELUCA CAFE
DEAN&DELUCA CAFE is famous as a trendy cafe. You can see a big sofa on the 3rd floor at Itami Airport and it is the sign of the cafe. You can enjoy coffee and sweets before your flight.

There is also a power supply at the counter seat. This is convenient.

Even one person seems to be able to slowly at the counter.

1-2.The first place where bar has a winery at the airport in the world

Osaka Airport Winery
The first place where it has wineries at the airport in the world and the wineries are displayed through the glass. This wine bar is where you can see the process of how the wine is made through the glass while you enjoy flesh wine. There is a set including 3 different kinds of wine (40ml each) and 3 different kinds of appetizer which goes with the wine. You will be satisfied with the wine.

If you look up from the second floor, you can see wineries.

1-3.The center of business in Osaka. You can enjoy bluefin tuna from Kuromon Ichiba

Osaka Kuromon Ichiba Magurono Entoki
This main restaurant has been established for around 80 years at the center of business in Osaka, Kuromon Ichiba, and this another brunch of restaurant has been established at Itami Airport. You can enjoy the most popular menu,3 different kinds of bluefin tuna bowl and many different kinds of seafood bowl and so on. Usually pople are in a line.

This is tuna zanmai. Red, medium Toro, pickled, roasted, Negitro are on board. It ’s really tuna!

This is the seafood Yukke donburi. You can enjoy various seafood. You will be entangled with egg yolk and sauce.

1-4.A famous restaurant where you can enjoy great pork cutlets

Nadai Tonkatsu Katsukura
This famous pork cutlet restaurant originated at Sanjo in Kyoto. There are many branches of the restaurant in Kansai area and Kanto area. You can enjoy cutlets here with carefully selected pork, bread crumbs and oil and so on, and they are really fresh and reliable and safe food. Also you don’t want to miss big prawn cutlets.

1-5.This restaurant is the best place for people who missed eating original Okonomiyaki in Osaka

Osaka Okonomiyaki Seijuro
When it comes to Osaka food, it should be Okonomiyaki and Takoyaki. This restaurant has Okonomiyaki, Yakisoba and Takoyaki and also different kinds of Teppanyaki. If you missed eating Okonomiyaki or you want to eat it one more time, you should visit there. Here after you order food they will start to cook for you so you can enjoy fresh food.

1-6.This place where you can enjoy seafood meal and craft beer from Kinosaki

Umi Kitchen KINOSAKI
This restaurant has combination with seafood from famous Japanese style hotel “Yamamotoya”where it has been established for 300 years at Kinosaki, and Kinosaki craft beer. There is seafood, Japanese, Western and Chinese food food on the menu. And also you can enjoy 4 different kinds of original Kinosaki craft beer from famous Japanese hotel “Yamamoya”.

4th floor

1-1.Always big lined up at Kitahama. When you feel like relaxing at a cool cafe

NORTHSHORE CAFE&DINING

NORTHSHORE is popular cafe where it has a great sense and opened space. There is many healthy foods with fresh fruit and vegetables on the menu.

Restaurants at Itami Airport are on the 4th floor and on the 5th floor which connected to stairs. From the 5th floor you can see a runway so if you are lucky you might be able to see take off and landing.

Inside of restaurant is big and opened space.

Only summer time you can enjoy BBQ at the terrace. They painted such cute pictures on the some windows.

Available time on BBQ is weekdays from 17:30-21:30, weekends from 12:00-21:30.(Last enter is at 20:00)

Drinks should be good on Instagram. It looks trend with Mason jar.

I went there at the cafe time and Sprouts sandwich was sold out because it is popular. This sandwhich is healthy and used lots of vegetables so that it’s popular for women.

1-2.A secret spot. A bistro where you can enjoy pasta or pizza

Pepper Mill
The restaurant is in the back of the deck in North side. It might be hard to find the entrance so that’s why this place is a secret spot. You can enjoy pasta or pizza at the bistro. There is also chef’s special course on the menu. They have terrace tables and you can enjoy your meal while you are watching plane from JAL.

On the 4th floor observation deck

There is a observation deck where you can see take off and landing on the North side(JAL) and on the South side(ANA).You will want to take pictures of plane when you see them close.

There is a lawn area and a small waterplay area on the deck. It’s convenient for family with kids to watch plane or play water.

Summary

I introduced you restaurants at the center area at Osaka International Airport(Itami Airport).Before renovation, there is less restaurants and people who leave Osaka or come back to Osaka must haven’t been able to relax at the airport.Since it has been renovated in April 2018, people are able to relax before their flight or after their flight.When you use Itami Airport for a flight, please enjoy your time at the center area.
