Itami Airport – Introducing the latest 36 restaurants, cafes, and souvenir shops

Osaka International Airport (Itami Airport) underwent a major renewal for the first time in 50 years!
The areas before and after security check at the North Terminal (JAL side) and South Terminal (ANA side) were reopened on August 5, 2020!Sorayan, the official character of the three Kansai airports, also appeared at the grand opening ceremony!
Sorayan in a mask is very cute♡.

Speaking of Itami Airport until now…
After the security inspection, there was nothing in particular, and it was full of a lonely Showa-era feeling…
The newly renovated Itami Airport! After undergoing security inspections, 31 stores in a walk-through commercial area, and 5 more stores in the security checkpoint area! A total of 36 new restaurants, souvenir stores, and general merchandise stores have opened!
I don’t know how long it takes to go through the security check. It’s nice to feel safe knowing you’ve cleared security and can spend some quality time inside. Let’s take a look at the North Terminal (JAL side) and the South Terminal (ANA side), in that order!

1. New store in North Terminal [JAL side]

Commercial area before security check: 4 stores

Since it’s before inspection, it’s a fun area for those visiting or seeing off visitors to the airport! Four stores are collaborating as “THE GIFT HALL” on the 2nd floor of the North Terminal♪

[Ueshima Coffee Shop]

An adult cafe in a retro-modern space where you can eat in or take out.

[HMV&BOOKS SPOT] (first at airport)

This is the first store at the airport that carries books, CDs, videos, sundries and stationery.
You can quickly purchase magazines and books to read on the plane here!

[Kazokuya] Confectionery and Foodstuffs (first in Kansai, first at airport)

This is the first store in Kansai and the first at the airport to sell sweets and food products!
A new type of gift store with a wide selection of premium souvenirs from all over Japan!
It’s fun just looking around at all the different souvenirs I’ve never seen before.

[RESH shoe repair and key shop] (first at airport)

Shoe repair, bag repair, duplication
A professional shoe store where you can get your shoes repaired and more with tools and materials from around the world!

Commercial area after security check: food and beverage: 7 shops

There is a new walk-through area where you can hang around after going through security check before boarding your flight!

[&COFFEE MAISON KAYSER] Cafe (first at airport)

The airport’s first stylish cafe with eat-in and take-out OK
Freshly baked bread and coffee of the highest quality.

[Osaka Takoyaki Takobon]

The restaurant serves its signature takoyaki, a large octopus wrapped in a soy sauce broth-based batter.

[Dotombori Kamukura] Ramen

Kanza is popular for its light soy sauce flavored, French based, easy on the body soup that can be eaten everyday.

[Miimao “Sorami”] Noodles and rice bowls (first in Kansai, first at airport)

This is a new type of restaurant that offers the casual enjoyment of Osaka’s popular Miu Miu flavor!

[Kyo-dashi soup Oinari Tsurigitsune] Japanese food and sweet (first in Kansai and first at airport)

You can enjoy Japanese food and sweet dishes at the new branch of the famous “Otabe” restaurant in Kyoto.
Oinari-san is filled with Kyoto dashi stock♪ Eat-in take-out OK♪

I’m glad to hear this… ♪
Freshly baked cheesecakes are a must!
There is a Ric Café stand where you can enjoy cheesecake on the spot.

When you think of Mitarashi Dumplings in Osaka, Kihachisu is so famous! It is so famous that it is called “Mitarashi Dango” in Osaka.
They bake them for each order, so you can enjoy freshly baked hot mitarashi dango!
And I’m glad that I can order from one bottle.

[Mugi to Olive] Ramen (first in Kansai)

The famous restaurant in Ginza, selected as a Bib Gourmand in the Michelin Guide, is opening its first branch in Kansai.
The signature item is the “Hamaguri SOBA”. The light 100% seafood soup is very popular.

The famous tea store founded in Ansei 1 and headquartered in Uji, Kyoto, has opened its first store at the airport!
We sell not only tea but also sweets.
